Yes, I did some boxing, strictly as a hobby, when I was in my 20s. It was fun. I do miss it. I’d be happy to do it again, but it requires a lot of time, between running, doing drills, working the bags, sparring, etc.

I actually share a common friend with this girl…her real name is Lizzie Grant and she comes from a prominent and very wealthy jewish family on Long Island. She says she was raised in a trailer park…perhaps her parents OWN a few trailer parks but she has NEVER lived in one!

This is one of the most poignantly accurate portrayals of addiction and recovery that I have ever had the pleasure of reading. Being a fellow working-class addict from Northlake (and one who witnessed the very beginning of both of our addictions) I can tell you that what we both managed to accomplish was (is) truly amazing. I am truly thankful to Steph and your family for helping you to get there. Although my own journey involved pills and such and not alcohol the results were no different; the recovery no easier.

Thank you for sharing your incredibly amazing story…and for never telling ME to fuck off! ; ‘)
