Envision Michigan Competition

The Center for Michigan is a think tank that is decidedly centrist-minded. Actually, they refer to themselves as a “think and do tank.” Phil Power a former newspaper owner, whose columns often appear in newspapers around the state, is the founder of the center.

Why am I writing about the center?

Because they’re running a story contest. Yes, a political think tank is running a story contest. Pretty cool, I think.

What do you love about our state? What do you want to change? What’s your best vision for Michigan’s future?

Weekly winners get $50 Meijer gift cards. Finalists share more than $30,000 in college scholarships and Michigan vacations. Contest open October ’07 – March ’08.
